Ralph Lysell (1907-1987) was one of the pioneers of industrial design in Sweden. In the 1940s he ran the consulting company Industriell Formgivning AB in Stockholm, pushing strongly for the use of new ideas from the US with charisma and forcefulness. Lysell himself had lived in the US and, among other things, designed an extremely streamlined car.
